The Vamipre Master is one of the potent bosses that players encounter during Act 3.

Cazador is set to perform a ritual, sacrificing 7000 vampire spawns that will make him ascend to the level no vampire has reached.

But first, players must initiate a quest called “Investigate Cazador’s Palace” to reach the Cazador.

Note: If Cazador discovers Astarion, he will capture and trap your companion making you incapable of using him throughout the fight.

How To Defeat Cazador In BG3?

Defeating Cazador can be difficult because he continuously feeds on the trapped vampire spawn around the arena.

This enables him to deal more necrotic damage and has greater Hit Points. 

However, defeating it is not impossible; with proper planning and ability usage, players can defeat the boss. 

Here are some steps on how to defeat Cazador in Baldur’s Gate 3;

1. Prepare with Pelorsun Blade: After overcoming the sinister door puzzle and dispatching some werewolves, proceed to the room housing Cazador. Before entering, descend to the lowest level where a treasure chest awaits. Smash it open to obtain the Pelorsun Blade, a weapon specifically crafted for combating the undead.
2. Utilize Magical Weapons: Engage Cazador with magical weapons to circumvent its resistance and effectively combat werewolves.
3. Rescue Astarion: Prioritize freeing Astarion promptly to ensure a full party for the confrontation with Cazador.
4. Leverage Sunlight Spells: Employ spells like Daylight to hinder Cazador’s regeneration, impose attack disadvantages, and inflict radiant damage each turn.
5. Deploy Area-of-Effect Attacks: Unleash potent AOE spells such as Fireball, Chain Lightning, or Sunbeam to devastate multiple Ghasts and Werewolves simultaneously.
6. Utilize Trun Undead: Neutralize Ghasts and potentially Cazador by employing Trun Undead tactics.
7. Knockback Strategies: Employ Knockback abilities like Telekinesis or Repelling Blast to hurl Cazador off the arena’s edge, swiftly concluding the boss battle.

After defeating Cazador, the quest doesn’t conclude; players must decide whether to assist Astarion in slaying Cazador.

BG3 Loots After Deafing Cazador

After completing the quest and defeating the BG3 Cazador boss, you will get rewards with valuable loot.

1. Rhapsody: This weapon inflicts 7-14 piercing damage with a +1 bonus to attack rolls, damage, and spell save DC for each creature you successfully defeat.

2. Woe: Upon interrupting Astarion during the ritual, you will find “Woe” added to your inventory after completing the quest.

3. Skull Of Velioth: Players can Loot Skull of Velioth(Skull Of His Master) from the Cazador dungeon which lead to four wisdom checks and Mask Scroll at the end.
4. Pelorsun Blade: It is an lightely enchanted dagger (+1 )that deals additional radian damage and is found on the lowest level of the dungeon.

5. Szarr Family Ring: Players can find this item on the palace’s first floor, a human nobleman on Godey, mainly used to open the sinister door.
